Trishvam Symphony

July 4th – 6th, 2025

The date palms sway gently in the breeze, their sweet, ripe, fallen fruit dotting the verdant lawns as they contrast with the bright green, like little oval nuggets of chocolate. I sprawl languidly on the deck chair beside the vast, blue swimming pool that lies alongside, popping the sweet fruit in my mouth as I gaze out the distant peak of the Bala Kondarayanaswamy hill which looms like a sentinel of the horizon and offers a panoramic backdrop to this picturesque resort called Trishvam Symphony.

Lying in the lap of the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, India, Trishvam Symphony is the latest and most recent addition to the list of burgeoning resorts from the well known brand, The Great Indian Group of Hotels and Resorts.

Surrounded by hills and nestling within lush landscapes and vast mango orchards, this resort presents an elegant getaway deep within a farm, offering a blend of the charm of farm life and the comfort of style and luxury.

If you are looking for a very comfortable stay which also offers a host of features for your entertainment, then join me in exploring this interesting getaway which is barely a 2 hour drive from Bangalore.

About Krishnagiri –

Krishnagiri is one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu in South India and is a part of the Kongu Nadu geographical region. Its administrative headquarters is Krishnagiri town which lies at the foothills of the Krishnadevaraya Hills and is also surrounded by other boulder studded rocky hill ranges.

Apart from its trekking attractions and temples, the town is also famous for mangoes and hence is also known as the Mango Capital of India. The month of June sees the annual mango festival called Mangani Thiruvizha where many varieties of mangoes are showcased and the celebrations include several cultural programs.

About The Great Indian Group of Hotels and Resorts (TGI) –

I seem to be visiting TGI properties in quick succession this time and this one comes right on the heels of my recent stay at TGI Livancia Hillside, Mysore.

If you have followed my posts, you will know that I have so far had the pleasure of experiencing 3 properties of the TGI brand, namely the Trishvam Tapovana in Sakleshpura, the TGI Star Holiday Resort, Yercaud and the TGI Livanica Hillside, Mysore and have repeated the details of their brand, an equal number of times 😊

Since they are constantly expanding their portfolio to include new hotels and resorts in more cities across the South, every time I experience a new property of theirs, they would have managed to add more places to their brand, Trishvam Symphony being a case in point!

TGI Hotels and Resorts manages and markets a chain of small, medium and premium hotels and resorts across India.

Based in Puducherry, this is a venture by two hotel management graduates Amitava Roy and V.K. Arun Kumar. They began operations in 2014 and have now burgeoned from a single hotel in Yelagiri, to several business and boutique hotels as well as resorts across India.

Features and Amenities –

Sprawling across its 13 acres, the resort is a tapestry of various elements. With a giant white angel dominating the center of the landscaped gardens around which the rooms and other buildings are clustered, Trishvam Symphony is partially an orchestra of musically inclined labels where some of the features bear names like Melody, Harmony, Chorus, Symphony and the like.

The main building at the entrance consists of the reception area, board room, banquet hall and some of the guest rooms. The other block which is separated by a landscaped garden, has the remaining rooms including the jacuzzi rooms. The suites are located to the right of this block.

The bouquet of features also include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor games, play area for children, boardroom, 2 banquet halls, amphitheatre, 2 sets of lawns, 1 restaurant, 2 bars and so on.

Reception area –

The outdoor verandah cum waiting area gives you the first glimpse of the surrounding vista with the hill in the background prominently framing the view. The indoor lobby is also bright and airy and pleasing to the eye.

The front desk staff is available 24/7.

Swimming pool –

The outdoor infinity pool is quite large, with a separate section for adults and children. The adult pool is a uniform 4.5 feet in depth. The timings are from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The view from here is very scenic with the ever present hill in the backdrop.

Spa –

Adjoining the gym is the upcoming spa called The Touch Spa which when operational, will offer various therapies like ayurvedic massages, aromatherapy,  facials, luxurious body treatments and steam sauna.

Gym and Fitness center –

Adjoining the pool area is the well-equipped fitness center which is open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Indoor games –

This recreation area is designed for all ages and offers games like Table tennis, foosball, pool etc.

It is open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The Aurora Board Room is equipped with modern amenities and offers a layout that accommodates 15 people. It is ideal for meetings and discussions.

The resort offers 2 halls of different sizes which are suitable for corporate meetings, social gatherings and other events.

The 1225 sq ft Lotus Banquet offers flexible seating and modern amenities and is ideal for intimate gatherings and formal meetings, accommodating up to 125 people in theatre style.

With 2500 sq ft of space and multiple options for seating layouts, the Orchid Banquet can host celebrations or corporate events that require accommodating up to 250 people in theatre style and up to 350 guests in a floating setup.

Amphitheatre –

The Serenity Amphitheatre is a large open air space set against the charming natural backdrop of the hills. One can host events here or watch movies or matches on the large screen.

Lawns –

The 2 lawns at the resort provide elegant and scenic locations that are ideal venues for  weddings or any other celebrations.

The Palm Garden Lawn, lined by date palms (which were bearing low hanging fruit when I visited) is the smaller of the 2 lawns and can host up to 300 people.

The serene Harmony Garden is the larger one with a 500 to 700 pax capacity.

A short video of the property –

The Stay –

Trishvam Symphony offers a total of 34 rooms divided into 4 categories. With names that are in tune with musical terms, they have the Chorus, Harmony, Melody and Symphony.

All the rooms have similar amenities with king size beds (or 2 single beds),  air conditioning, a 43 inch TV, tea and coffee maker, free internet access, mini fridge, in-room safe, hair dryer, slippers, toiletries, bath linen etc.

Paid laundry service is available.

The 5 Chorus rooms are the basic category, offering 575 sq ft of space and accommodating up to 3 guests. They are all on the first floor, accessible only by stairs. They have twin beds  and no balcony.

The 800 sq ft Harmony rooms are 24 in number and have a spacious balcony overlooking the trees. They accommodate up to 4 guests. There is lift access to many of these rooms.

The 2 expansive 1250 sq ft Melody Suites are designed to accommodate up to 4 guests. With a large bedroom, a spacious sit out with a forest view and a generous separate living area, these elegant suites are definitely tailored for a comfortable stay.

The 3 luxurious Symphony Pool Villas with 950 sq ft of space, a large sit out, a private garden and a personal outdoor jacuzzi, are the ultimate category and offer an indulgent stay for up to 4 guests.

Dining –

The Spice is the aesthetically done up restaurant at at Trishvam Symphony. With an  indoor area with a central ‘thotti’ or sunken tank that is open to the sky and an outdoor L shaped verandah lined by dense greenery and flowering plants, this place can accommodate around 90 diners.

Serving multicuisine fare with buffet and a la carte options, the kitchen manned by a team of chefs produces food which appeals across a range of palates. The South Indian, North Indian and Tandoori items were all up to standard even though only the temporary menu was in operation when I visited, since the final menu is still a Work in Process and expected to be in place within a month. The Nepali Executive chef was happy to also cater to any special request and his ‘on popular demand’ Punjabi style Alu gobi was greatly appreciated.

Service was polite, intuitive and obliging albeit with occasional delays that could be excused as teething troubles.

A quick glimpse of the dishes which I experienced here –

Bars –

Heavens Family Lounge and The Bliss are the 2 bars that are slated to open once due licenses are in place and will serve handcrafted cocktails and spirits.

Juice Bar This poolside bar serves fresh juices, smoothies and bar snacks by the pool.

Food options outside the resort –

Krishnagiri town offers varied options for dining, ranging from multicuisine to the hyper local and across a range of budgets. Some of the eateries providing regional food are Mangalam hotel, Rajeshwari hotel, Sekar Kali hotel, Murugan Idli shop and the KPN fish stall near the dam.

Activities –

Activities within the hotel –

Apart from the aforementioned swimming, spa, gymming, indoor and outdoor games and general chilling, the resort also organises a nature walk in the morning. A bonfire in the evenings is also in the plans.

Nature Walk –

Every morning from 7.00 am to 8.00 am, there is a nature walk conducted by the in-house Activities manager where he takes the guests on a stroll through the pathways and mango orchards. If you are visiting when the mangoes are still in season, then you can also have the pleasure of plucking the low hanging fruit of which there are plenty. Bird lovers can also spot a few of their winged friends on the trees and overhead wires and if the peafowl are in a mood to oblige, they may deign to show themselves too.

The walk takes place between 7.00 am to 8.00 am everyday.

Things to do in the Surroundings –

The Bala Kondarayana hilltop temple, Our Lady of Fatima shrine, Syed Basha hill with the Krishnagiri fort and a dargah, Sri Kattu Veera Anjanaeya temple, Bikkanapalli falls, Ennegol pudur waterfalls, Krishnagiri dam etc are some of the attractions within 10 km of the resort.

Visitor Profile –

Guests of all ages are permitted with no restrictions.

The resort with its blissful and peaceful setting and various activities, is ideal for families, friends, couples, solo guests etc. With the facilities it offers, it is also suitable for corporates and business visitors.

Its various venues are suited for any type of occasion, whether it be a rejuvenating break from the mundane to get away from it all or for corporate team outings or celebrations of intimate nature or family events like birthday parties or even functions of a large scale nature like weddings etc.

It is a good place for individuals, couples, families and groups of friends. Bear in mind however, that it is not a wheelchair accessible place since it is built on undulating terrain and has many sets of steps throughout the property.

Best time to visit –

The Krishnagiri region has clearly demarcated seasons. The summer months of March to June are definitely on the hotter side with temperatures crossing 40 deg c. July to September sees heavy rains but is a god time for those who enjoy monsoons. October to February is the coolest time (literally) to visit, with temperatures descending as low as 15 deg c in December.

Phone and internet connectivity –

The property provides a free Wifi connection for its guests which is quite stable. There is an intercom facility from the rooms with 24/7 service.

What is available and what you should carry –

The resort has a generator for power back up in case of a power failure.

All standard toiletries and bed and bath linen are provided.

Carry swimwear if you are going to use the pool.

If you are going to be climbing hills and trekking in the surroundings, some of the items you would need are comfortable shoes, caps, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, water, snacks, first aid kit and any other trekking gear etc.

Summers are quite hot so light cotton clothing will be best. In the rainy season and winter, it can get a bit chilly, especially in the early mornings and evenings, so some basic warm wear will be required.

Krishnagiri town is 20 km away and most of the essential items are available there.

As always, carry your ID card with you.

Additional Information –

A large, open air parking space is available right in front of the resort.

Free accommodation is provided for the drivers of guests and also free staff food.

The resort is not really access friendly for those who have mobility issues due to physical impairment or advanced age. However, there are 2 rooms on the ground floor of the main building, which have just a couple of steps to navigate.

The resort does not permit pets.

Be aware that you are in a wooded area and hence you may occasionally encounter insects, reptiles and also monkeys. Do not venture out into the woods on your own, without being accompanied by a staff member.

Getting there –

By air –

The resort is 110 km from Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore, which is the nearest airport.

Road and rail –

Krishnagiri town is also connected by bus and train. The resort is 20 km from the town and cabs can be availed for last mile connectivity.

From Bangalore, it is convenient to travel by cab or personal vehicle.
