MOD for each other …

Before your heart skips a beat and you feel a surge of excitement (or in my  case, total shock ) 😀  when you hear your spouse exclaim “Oh Sweet Heart”, please make sure that you do  not have a box of Heart shaped Valentine’s Day special donuts from Mad Over  Donuts lying in open view. For if your husband is anything like mine, then  this joyful exclamation is most likely to be directed at the 3 flavors peeping  coyly out at him … and least likely to be directed at you 🙂

But let that not stop you from ordering the Valentine Day specials from them, for their three new flavors are guaranteed to make you feel sufficiently loved … who needs spouses(spice ?) when one has donuts 🙂

Mad Over Donuts … hereinafter referred to as MOD, sent me a sample of their three Valentine’s specials … romantically  titled Pretty in Pink (white chocolate, strawberry buttercream and  sprinkles), Your Heart’s Desire (milk chocolate, dark chocolate ganache and  dark chocolate shavings) and Hot Pink Love (topped with strawberry compote and vanilla  buttercream).

I found their donuts light and fluffy and not unduly sweet … just the way  I like them and with the added advantage of being eggless … yes there is  that little green dot on the box that prevents vegetarians and non eggy’tarians  from feeling left out … yes there is a category like the latter and yes I  belong to it and yes I don’t eat egg due to a psychological allergy and yes  there are such allergies and yes this is not about me so I shall get back on  track.

My son who has no sweet tooth (yes there are children like that in this  world) also deigned to taste them and then Whole heartedly ended up polishing  off three Whole hearts. Speaking of Whole, these donuts have no Hole in the  Heart unlike the regular ones.  They are all Heart, just like the nice  people at MOD 🙂

The inside of the box bears instructions on how to eat your donuts, with innovative suggestions.  Please be aware that Number 9 does not refer to kissing the donuts … though I know people who might  prefer doing just that 🙂

As an added incentive, there is an ongoing Valentine’s Day contest. I would have called this contest – MOD for each other … but nobody asks me !!!
