This was the last hotel that I stayed in during my trip to Kerala for the Kerala Travel Mart 2022 which was held in Kochi, Kerala from May 5th – 8th, 2022. This KTM event was preceded by our pre-mart media tour which was courtesy of the KTM Society.
Abad Atrium is a very comfortable and convenient place for business as well as and leisure travellers. The fabulous central location is very advantageous to visit places of interest like the Marine Drive, Centre Square Mall etc. It is also walking distance to the metro station.
About the Abad group –
The Abad Group is one of the notable business enterprises in Kochi, Kerala, which rose from its humble beginnings 2 centuries ago, to now become one of Kerala’s leading conglomerates with a strong presence in real estate, building, fisheries, hospitality etc.
Presently it operates 14 hotels and resorts in in Kerala, which include beach front, backwater resorts, highland resorts and city hotels. As a policy, there is no alcohol or pork served in any of their properties.

Features of the Abad Atrium –
The hotel pretty much meets all the standard requirements. 52 rooms across 6 floors, a restaurant, room service, free WiFi, a swimming pool (in the neighboring Abad Plaza), 2 banquet halls and a free parking facility.
Rooms –
There are 2 categories of rooms, Superior and Suites.
The rooms are spacious and bright and well kept. All the rooms have the basic amenities expected of a hotel of this category, like air conditioning, flat screen television, a safe, drinking water, electric kettle and tea and coffee, fridge, bed and bath ware, all toiletries and other such standard facilities.
Dining –
Café Royale is the ground floor restaurant which earlier served all meals. Post Covid though, only the buffet breakfast is served here and the rest of the meals are available at Abad Plaza which is right in front of Abad Atrium. However, fixed time room service is possible from Abad Plaza which is quite convenient.
The breakfast buffet is a compact but reasonably ample spread and covers local Kerala fare and the standard presence of some North Indian and Continental dishes.
The food is quite good and the friendly staff are always on stand by to help with information or fulfil requests for customization.
My room –
My room was on the 4th floor and was extremely comfortable and clean. And yes it was always entertaining to use the capsule lift 😎
I spent very little time at the hotel because of of attending the various programs of the KTM but my fleeting stay was most pleasant and this is definitely a hotel I would tend to stay in if I visit Kochi again.
Getting there –
Kochi is a well connected city with an international airport and its main railway station at Ernakulam Junction (South).
Apart from this, it is also well connected by many major roads.
The Cochin International Airport is around 30 km from the hotel and the railway station is a mere 1.8 km away.

Great narration
Good to know these details if one has checked it out
The pictures and narratives seem to be a good and clean hotel which one should definitely try
Room tariffs to be known for attracting a customer as some donot have time to search
While booking at times the rates pop up and many don’t go on to such a step to find out.
Thank you. Yes this is a very convenient and comfortable hotel.
