Hanoi the Vietnamese restaurant run by the talented and committed duo, Nirav Rajani and Diep Vu, has found a new home in Koramangala. Well not all that new but new enough to me, since I made it only after several months of its shifting from it’s earlier spot
(Of course my cab location finder did try to entice me to pick Hanoi, Vietnam but I stayed firm and redirected my map to Koramangala, India )
I joined a group of friends who had been invited to try out their newly operational Barbeque and also their regular Hot Pot and other favorites.
The Orange ginger chilli beverage, always a crowd pleaser and tongue tickler, was the drink of choice.
Succulent chicken and lamb from the BBQ, some sleek, shiny, saucy pork ribs , papaya and raw mango salads with spicy dressings, the refreshing rice paper rolls, the ever popular Hot Pot with seafood for the non vegetarians and no seafood for the vegetarians 😀 and also my all time favorite, the sticky coconut rice and turmeric rice with accompanying tamarind and coconut gravies, formed the line up for the night.
Of course the meal had to end with the stunning fig and red wine ice cream and my beloved tender coconut ice cream.
Great company, ever smiling hosts, including their latest addition/edition, the little boy … and delightful food and drink, made this summer night a happy one.
Oh and return gifts of exotic bottled Vietnamese coffee in the vegan coconut milk flavor and the regular Dark roasted, made for enough Grounds to return back here soon !!!
