Oberoi – Run for Saksham

How would you feel if you had to get up at 5.30 am on a cold December morning and go run around Ulsoor lake ?

Well if the cause was worthy, then you would feel awesome and ‘Haloish’  … just as I did
We participated in the fund raising ‘Run for Saksham’ conducted by the Oberoi Hotel, Bangalore.

Project Saksham is the Oberoi Group’s commitment to the SOS Children’s Village, to support their work in our community.
SOS Children’s Villages located across India, provide family based care to underprivileged children. In Bangalore the Village is home to over 100 children aged 9 months to 18 years.

Of course I picked the 2km over the 4km (yes yes they were merciful and gave us a choice  ) and after the run we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast (with all healthy stuff … cannot negate the lost calories so soon) and an entertaining performance by the talented children.

Thanks to Pinky Padmaraj who was responsible for my participation and thanks to my companions for a wonderful morning Aslam Gafoor Arup Kakati Nirja Raju Banani Das Dhar Rajesh Sajnani Anshul Kaul
