The Organics Millets International Trade Fair 2018, Jan 19th – 21st was a very successful event, thanks to Shri Krishna Byre Gowda and every single person in the ITF committee who worked their heads off !!!

Highlights –

Many more culinary sessions from food and nutrition professionals, imparting a wealth of knowledge.

Awesome talent in the Young Chef’s Millet dishes display contest – check out the Young 9th std boy who came from JSS school Mysore. He came as a visitor to the fair the previous day and asked to join the contest and managed to produce a Bronze winning entry !!!

Equally praiseworthy contest entries from the children taking part in the Drawing contest in different age categories.

Continuing the discovery of a plethora of items like Vaccum fried fruits and vegetables, heirloom wheat, whole millet grains for sprouting, candied organic fruit, unusual pickles, informative millet calendars, state of the art millet processing machines etc.

A talk session by Dr Khader that had a packed audience.

Stall judging in various categories, conducted by a 4 member committee.

Very successful B2B sessions that have generated noteworthy amounts of business potential worth nearly Rs101 crores, involving both national and international buyers.

Over 40 startups were felicitated and received funding for their contribution, during the Agri startup session.

The beautifully conducted Closing ceremony where the Commissioner summarized the entire fair in his thanksgiving speech and the Minister Shri Krishna Byre Gowda also thanked each and every one and presented all the committee members with gift hampers.

And of course the Non stop eating at Khanavali, the food court, where people just did not seem to want it to end !!!
