Highlights from Day 2 of the OMITF2018

Non stop 2 days in a row on my feet for 12 hours at a stretch, feet swollen like organic pumpkins, walking like a horse kicked me in the kidneys … but I am loving it

The fair just keeps getting better and better.

Highlights –
Discovering a millet apparently grown in India only in Meghalaya, called Job’s tears.
Seeing the palm oil ‘fruit’ for the first time.
Gorgeous cocoa pods from Telengana.
Goat milk products and many many goats too
Awesome talent in the Chefs Professsional contest – check out that stunning Kodo millet modak with turmeric coconut sauce. Straight to heaven only !!!
Equally amazing contest entries from the general millet cooked items contest.
Finally someone with gluten free and ready mix baking options. Also selling hard to get stuff like Xanthan gum, tapioca flour etc
Panel discussions bringing forth a wealth of information and knowledge.

Glimpses of the international delegates involved in many aspects of the fair.
Farmer sessions, B2B sessions with national and international prospects, cultural programs, Jaivik awards where the Govt of Karnataka received the second prize for the Best State Government for Organic Farming category at the Jaivik Awards held during #OM2018 … and much more !!!

Enjoy the visuals.
