In Oct 2016, I had written about this place called Made in Punjab that later went on to transform itself into BBQ’D and also acquired for itself a brewery.
While BBQ’D was also well received, the old MIP fans mourned the loss of the earlier menu and hence by public demand the good folks at the restaurant decided to double our joy and today we have the same place in its new avatar of MIP by BBQ’D.
If you read my narration above, you will see what a butterball of a time I had there at my first visit
This time I was invited again to relive my memories and fall back into a food coma once more.
Given below is a list of what we gorged on!!!
We began with chaat from the live counter with the Palak paapdi chaat, Dahi puri, Dahi sev puri and Chicken tikka chaat.
The chicken tikka chaat was the favorite of the non vegetarians.
(there is also a before and after pic of the dahi puri )
The veg starters had the Baby aloo, Tandoori mushroom, Malai broccoli, BBQ’D special paneer tikka and Karara bhatti paneer.
My favorite was the Malai broccoli (the malai for guilt and broccoli for the conscience – balanced meal)
The non veg consisted of the good old LOL tikki, Murgh tikka, Lasooni chicken tikka, Legacy tandoori champ and Bhatti murgh.
As on my earlier visit, my favorite was the LOL tikki once more, not just because its name amused me and made me Laugh out Loud but also because this Leg of Lamb shredded and patted into a tikki, was melt in the mouth on the inside and crisp on the outside and just 2 of them were enough to fill me up.
The mains had the Dal makhani and Lehsuni palak chenna (both creamy dreamy) and the creamiest dreamiest and aptly named, BBQ’D Luxury Butter Chicken.
These were served with Laccha paratha and Garlic naan. There was also a Murgh dum biryani for those who still had Dum left to eat !!!
Desserts showed up in the form of Rasmalai, the only Indian sweet that I cannot resist. There was also Nukkad jalebi with Rabadi. I took just a tiny bite of this because I had just a tiny nukkad (corner) left in my tummy.
One can happily wash down all this food with their in house brews of Hefeweizen, Masala Saison and IPA.
