So while one might argue that there has been no winter worth speaking of in Bangalore this year, one will not really object to being a part of a Winter Food Festival … and especially when the aforementioned food is from Samaroh, the place that celebrates vegetarian food by means of their extensive and grand Thali.

So ’tis the season to be jolly and gorge on their Sarson ka saag and Makki roti, the Haldi ki sabji made from fresh, raw turmeric, the Gond ka laddoo and my absolute favorite, the creamy, delectable Bajra khichdi … when I see it, truly Kich kich hota hai !!!

And to those who might disagree with me with chattering teeth as they shiver to the bone while they insist that Bangalore is really cold, let me tell you that my top floor apartment needs an AC even at nights 

But whether it is Samar’oh Winter in your neck of the woods, come and try out this meal … for good food knows no season or reason !!!
